A new road is being planned to provide better access to Shell Island and the airfield Enterprise Zone at Llanbedr. This will ease traffic flow during peak holiday seasons and provide convenient access to the village and other attractions in Cwm Bychan, Cwm Nantcol and the Rhinog mountain range. Details may be found on www.llanbedr.com

Mae cynlluniau ar y gweill ar gyfer ffordd newydd i hwyluso mynediad at Mochras a Pharth Menter Eryri ym Maes awyr Llanbedr. Bydd hyn yn gwella llif y traffig yn ystod amseroedd gwyliau cyhoeddus ac agor gwell mynediad at atyniadau eraill yng Nghwm Bychan, Cwm Nantcol a'r Rhinogydd. Gweler fanylion ar y wefan uchod.

Llanbedr Community Council try to make visitors’ experiences as pleasant as possible by providing facilities paid for by local residents. However, a recently installed picnic bench has been taken away by some low-life thieves. We would welcome comments and suggestions from responsible and caring visitors who have enjoyed their visits to the area. Please contact post@llanbedr.com

Rydym yn awr yn gallu cadarnhau bod y bont ffordd wedi agor i draffig o 2.00 yh Dydd Llun, 13eg o Orffennaf 2015.

Roedd disgyblion o Ysgol Talsarnau ac Ysgol Cefn Coch, Penrhyndeudraeth wedi agor y bont yn swyddogol.

Fel y gwyddoch mai'r contractwyr wedi bod yn gweithio at agoriad diwedd mis Mehefin ond tydi’r  tywydd yn ystod mis Mai a dechrau Mehefin heb fod yn ffafriol, mae hyn wedi effeithio elfennau o’r datblygiad sydd yn ddibynnol ar y tywydd, fel enghraifft tywallt y concrid a diddosi'r dec. Yn anffodus roedd hyn wedi gwthio’r dyddiad agoriad yn ôl 2 wythnos.

Tra bydd y bont ffordd yn agored, mi fydd yna ychydig o waith yn cael ei gario allan  fydd yn golygu bod  ar adegai efallai fydd yna oleuadau traffig dros dro ar y ffordd.

We are now able to confirm that the Pont Briwet road bridge has opened to traffic at 2.00 p.m. on Monday, 13th July 2015.

Schoolchildren from Talsarnau and Ysgol Cefn Coch, Penrhyndeudraeth primary schools officially opened the bridge.

As you are aware the contractors had been working towards an end of June opening but the weather during May and the beginning of June has not been favourable, this has affected aspects of developments which are weather dependent, for example pouring concrete and waterproofing the deck.  Unfortunately this pushed the road opening date back by some 2 weeks.

Whilst the road bridge will be open, there will still be some construction work being carried out, which might occasionally mean temporary traffic lights on the road.
